Kata Beach Bus Terminal

OVERVIEW

Kata Beach Bus Terminal  is a fringe carpark and roadside bus terminal, located at Soi Pakbang Tambong Karon (Pak Bang Road), directly outside the Karon Sub District Municipal Office and opposite Kata Beach Resort

Bus routes are set up by the local government and routes are run by individual drivers.

The Kata Beach to Phuket Town route is the only route operated out of the terminal on a daily basis

Operating Hours

Bus services operate from  6am to 4.40pm, in intervals of 20 minutes from 6am up till 11am and at 30 minute intervals from 11.30am to 3pm. Thereafter, the last two buses will leave at 3.45pm and 4.40pm respectively

Bus fleet

Most buses operated from the terminal are manufactured by Hino Motors of Japan, with lorry chassis (engine) coupled to a bus bodywork

Newer bus with windows that can be closed in case of rain, as well as an air-conditioned driver cab.

Fares

Fares are capped at 35 Thai Baht per person, regardless of distance traveled.
Boarding and alighting is allowed at any location along the route, based on the driver's discretion.
